Defiance, OH Man Glad He went Solar

Defiance, Ohio resident Roger Henry was overjoyed with the installation of his 5.1 kW solar power system. Henry installed sixteen Canadian Solar Quartech MaxPower CS6X 320 watt poly-crystalline panels to go along with his SMA Sunny Boy string inverter. His panel efficiency is 17% while his inverter efficiency is 97%.

"I looked at the YellowLite website and filled out the website calculator," said Henry. "Then we got a call from YellowLite. It was good. They had some good people come to the house, they all acted like they knew what they were doing."

Henry's system is forecasted to produce nearly 7,000 kWh of electricity per year. This is enough to offset the burning of 3.5 tons of coal per year. Based on a state average of $0.12 per kWh, this would be savings of nearly $800 a year.

"The payback period is ten years. Although it's probably going to be less since AEP raised our rates again."

Henry contacted YellowLite in January of 2016 and his solar panels were installed in February. When asked what the deciding factor was between YellowLite and other solar companies, Henry said that it was solar consultant Abe's attention to detail and courteous demeanor.

"I like Abe. He drew up a plan for me and we talked about it, and the system they installed did exactly what he said it was going to do."

Henry had been thinking about solar for quite a long time but had not thought it a true possibility until he went on the YellowLite website. "I've read so much about it and I didn't realize we could save as much as we did. We're really satisfied with the production we get."

The equity that has been added to the Morrison's house is approximately $9,500. It should be noted that the added equity value to your property is based on a rate of $3.11 a watt from the latest research but it is always a good idea to contact your realtor.

"It's been a good experience. I'm completely satisfied with Yellowlite and I'm glad we got the system."
