1. Initial Call
This is the first step; you can either call us or request
a quote through our website for your future solar power system.
We will receive your request and contact you. Be sure to have a little information
available about the install site such as electricity usage history, roof type, roof
orientation (e.g. southwest), etc. Call us at: 1-877-743-8757.
2. Free Site Evaluation
After initial contact, we will schedule an Ohio-based solar roofing designer to
visit your residence or business and perform a site evaluation and consultation.
Site evaluations are free of charge and usually take one to two hours to perform.
This visit is a good opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have about
how solar lighting works, the photovoltaic system installation process, or any other
technical or financial questions. During this visit the system designer will collect
information to generate a proposal for your solar power design and installation.
3. Receive Proposal
YellowLite will deliver a proposal for a solar install to you by email or in person.
This proposal will include the initial system design, green energy rebate and tax
credit amounts, and the total cost. Proposals can also include a simulation of your
expected electrical usage, cash flow calculations, payback calculations, and projected
billing with your new solar power system. Our proposals give you the information
you need to determine if solar roofing is a good investment for your home or business.
4. Sign Contract
When you decide to do the project you will then sign a contract with YellowLite.
From here YellowLite takes care of everything including: photovoltaic design, permitting,
system construction, inspections, utility interconnection, and green energy rebate
collection.
5. Installation
The solar power installation can commence once a contract has been signed and the
materials have been procured. Installation times vary depending on the size and
complexity of the install. A typical residential solar lighting install should take
about three to four business days.
6. Inspections
After installation is complete, your photovoltaic system will be inspected by the
governing municipality and your utility company. YellowLite will schedule and attend
all inspections, so you will not need to be present. Following your utility inspection,
your solar roofing system will be up and running. YellowLite will provide you with
electrical and structural drawings of your new photovoltaic system along with all
owner's manuals, warranties, and instructions on how to monitor your system's performance.
